I had been looking for some kind of a heater for the garage and after taking back 3 heaters to wal-mart for poor quality control, had about given up on finding something the works well.I had bought 2 propane radiant double head heaters and they both did the same thing, one head didn't work right and a propane torpedo heater that didn't have all of the parts included, I stumbled on to this convection heater that online customers rated very good. I have to say it does pour out the heat (30-80,000 btu's worth) and is a very clean burner. You do need some fresh air pulled in when you burn it like any fuel heater. I was hoping I found a heater that wasn't made in China like the other 3 I took back but no luck on this one either. This is a Cleveland company but I guess they have moved operations to china also. What a shame,I really starting to miss American quality products, I get tire of taking things back but having said that, this heater is designed well and works nice.Customer Review: Breaking a sweat

Purchased this heater for my exercise area in my unfinished basement. I get up in the morning go down in the basement and fire this baby up, then go back up stairs put on my workout clothes and by the time I get back down there I can start my workout dressed as if it is summer time. In most cases 10 minutes into my workout I am into a heavy sweat even on the coldest of days. On the side about 5 feet away from the heater I position a fan tilted upwards, turned on low speed to help circulate the heat throughout the area. Yes it a gas guzzler, but at 80,000 btu's you ain't going get Corvette power on Prius mileage. I usually get 2 weeks off one 20# tank of propane for about 1 hour of use 6 days a week. The noise level is not an issue for me because I'm always blasting my workout music but even with no music the noise level will not drown out a regular conversation. I recommend this product because it is working for me.Customer Review: great item

I purchased this heater two weeks ago for my garage from Amazon for $99 delivered. It is a 2 car with 11ft ceilings. My wife smokes cigarets and I smoke cigars and we only smoke in the garage. I can run a full size 24in fan blowing out my window with this heater on about 1/2 power in 20 deg temp's and could be wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the garage. The heat is almost instant. It was super easy to set up and I love it. Had it running is less than 10 minutes and I actually read and folowed the directions. I have tried all trypes of electric heaters at they work well at 40 or 45 deg but below that no chance. For my purpose or anyone wanting to heat a garage type area I highly reccomend. I purchased this heater to use in my garage during winter months in Michigan. I have several leftover "summer" projects that needed to be finished and have found the heater to be more than sufficient to keep the garage temperature comfortable. I do not have a ceiling fan but plan to put one up to help circulate the heat. It probably takes less than 10 minutes to heat the garage to 70 degrees (20 degrees outside). Once it warms up, I turn the heater down to low and eventually have to turn it off because it gets pretty warm. I am more than satisfied with the performance of this product. It is so much better than breathing the kerosene fumes from the old salamander I was using before. I'm using the regular propane tank (grill size) and had no trouble with the fitting connector that came with the heater.Customer Review: Bad Item - Great Amazon Service

Bottom line is this unit didn't work. I called the Mr. Heater people multiple times and received horrific customer service. You know, endless wait times etc. They even disconnected me after being on hold for 45 minutes once. FInally reached a guy who told me it might be the regulator going bad, but his solution didn't work and further attempts to reach them failed. Exasperated, I filled out the Mr. Heater customer service form via email. Never heard back from them.
Never having had to return anything to Amazon, I emailed their customer service folks and received FANTASTIC customer service. Good old fashioned "if you're not satisfied, then neither are we" attitude. They made it right.
Five stars for Amazon; zero for the Mr. Heater clowns.
